In 2020, Oncoclínicas Group expanded its presence in Rio de Janeiro with the inauguration of the OC Oncoclínicas Niterói unit, in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Region. The result of a partnership with Unimed, the unit, the tenth of the Group in the State, expanded its services to the population of Rio de Janeiro with integrated oncologic care and a fast and safe patient flow.
The structure, with capacity to provide more than 1,500 appointments per month, occupies one thousand square meters and was designed to provide maximum comfort and hospitality for patients undergoing treatment for cancer and autoimmune diseases to receive individualized and integral care.
At the site, patients have access to complete services that help identifying the best therapy, and access to treatments such as chemotherapy, laser therapy (dental procedure), cryotherapy, oncogenetics, and continued care (palliative care), besides rheumatologic and infusion treatments for autoimmune diseases, with the follow-up of a highly qualified team.
The integral care to patients includes oncology treatment, hematology, dentistry, psychology, nutrition and clinical pharmacy, and clinical nursing. All in a space that includes six multidisciplinary clinical offices, a reception room, a fully equipped procedure room, an emergency room, two private beds for infusion treatments, and 18 individualized boxes.
