PLASMOCYTE

The plasma cell is a blood cell, originated in the bone marrow, and belongs to the human immune system.

Plasma cells are responsible for producing immunoglobulins, proteins responsible for defending the body and known as antibodies. Increased proliferation of plasma cells results in a neoplasm called multiple myeloma.
