Emesis, or vomiting, is the expulsion of stomach contents through the mouth. Vomiting is a very unpleasant symptom.
It can occur in gastrointestinal diseases, labyrinthine diseases, and neurological diseases. In cancer patients, vomiting can be a symptom of the disease or a side effect of treatments.
