Stage of the disease in which there are no signs of disease activity. The absence of signs may not mean complete cure, and there may be a risk of recurrence. For each type of cancer, depending on its characteristics, the diagnosis of remission predicts a certain time of absence of detectable signs in clinical, laboratory and imaging tests.
